Lives Lived: Alga Gilbert

Alga “Tracy” Gilbert, of Grass Valley, died Jan. 27 in Roseville. She was 55.

A memorial service will be at noon today at Twin Cities Church on Rough and Ready Highway, Grass Valley.

She was born on May 30, 1954, in Oakland.



She was married to Ted Gilbert for 25 years, and she is retired from the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.

She is survived by her husband, Ted Gilbert of Grass Valley; daughters, Heather Valle of Grass Valley and Kimberly Hernandez of




Knoxville, Tenn., granddaughter, Cordilia Rose Valle of Grass Valley; and her mother and three siblings.

Arrangements are by Hooper and Weaver Mortuary, Nevada City.
