Lives Lived: Alfred Manuel

Alfred McNair Manuel died Monday, March 22, in Grass Valley. He was 75.

He was born January 10,1935, in Havre, Mont., to Thomas and Cora T. Manuel.

He married Laura in Reno, Nev., on June 3,1960.



Mr. Manuel was co-founder of Manuel Brothers Inc. in Grass Valley and retired after 15 years in 1990.

He is survived by his wife, Laura, of Grass Valley; daughters, Mara of Sacramento and Darcey of Grass Valley; grandsons, Jeremy, Casey, Nick and Mac; great-granddaughters, Jaycie and Julianna; great-grandson, Wyatt; and brothers, Charles and Donald.




He was preceded in death by his twin brother Rich and brothers Tom, John and David; parents, Cora and Thomas; and sisters, Della, Nancy, Ruth and Mary.

Memorial contributions may be made to diabetes research.

Arrangements are by Chapel of the Angels Mortuary and Crematory, Grass Valley.
