Lives Lived: Alberta Eichmann

Alberta Henrietta Eichmann, born Oct. 1, 1928, in Crosby, Minn., quietly passed away on Oct. 19. Mrs. Eichmann left this earth peacefully in the arms of the angels from the comfort of her home in Grass Valley.

She is survived by Kenneth, her beloved husband of 38 years. Mrs. Eichmann also is survived by her children Cheryl, Jackie, John, Christopher, Marty and Yvonne, and by 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Eichmann was a loving, caring and generous wife, mother and friend. She was loved so dearly and will be truly missed by her loved ones and many others that her life touched. She loved life and enjoyed traveling, playing golf, cooking, sewing and Bible study. She was always there for others, to listen, to share a mother’s advice, to wipe away a tear, to make us feel special and to give us her loving guidance about life. She was truly selfless, always putting others first, even in her final days. Those precious memories we’ve locked away in our own special place, forever will stay. She is now resting peacefully in heaven in the comfort of God’s hands. Alberta, you will remain forever in our hearts and souls.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation in Mrs. Eichmann’s name to The Hospice of The Foothills, 11270 Rough and Ready Highway, Grass Valley, CA 95945.

She will be remembered at a celebration of life memorial service on Friday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church of Grass Valley, 11481 State Highway 174, Grass Valley.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.
