Linda Higgins

Linda Jean Higgins died July 12 at John Muir Hospital.

A celebration of her life will be held at the John F. Baldwin Park in Concord.

Ms. Higgins was born in Pleasant Hill. She moved to Grass Valley and lived there for over 20 years before moving back to Pleasant Hill to care for her terminally ill father. She went home to God after losing a battle with emphysema and COPD.

She enjoyed racing and embroidery/cross stitching. She enjoyed church and her family there along with all the babies that she was able to get her hands on. Many families have her famous baby quilts or blankets.

She had an outgoing spirit that many will always remember in their hearts. The many people that knew her well understood her stubborn, out-spoken streak with the little glint of mischievous in her eyes to go with it. She is loved and will be greatly missed.

Ms. Higgins is survived by her husband, Jim Bale; mother and brothers Mural, Gary and Bob Higgins; and her daughter and family Tami, Andy, Andrea and Jon Trihub; Becky, Bill, Samantha and Tyler Kenny and Chris, Denise and Makala Bale.
