Levita Hohman

Levita Jean Hohman, 77, died Thursday, April 27, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.

No services are planned.

Mrs. Hohman was born Sept. 14, 1928, in Arnold, Neb. She moved with her family to California at the age of 6. She was raised and attended school in Marysville. She married Bernard Emery Hohman after graduating from high school. In 1962, they moved to Live Oak, where she ran a little burger joint for the high school kids. She was also involved in many civic activities. In 1969, her husband’s job took them to Watsonville, where she worked for the Green Giant Co. as the personnel supervisor until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed golfing, square dancing, camping and water skiing with friends.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Phil and Evelyn Hohman of Yuba City and Dale and Sue Hohman of Watsonville; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Chris Iorns of Grass Valley; grandchildren Kim, Philip, Leslie, Ryan, Tyler and Tiffany; and great-grandchild, Joshua. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Emery Hohman, in November 2004.
