Let’s be balanced

Now that The Union’s tirades have beat up Mr. Conklin for the past month about alleged “cronyism” after the 2002 election, it is time to be fair and balanced!

The Union needs conduct an expose for the citizens of Nevada County about the cronyism starting with Supervisor Bedwell during that same election.

Follow the money ” Bedwell gets the huge Mystery Campaign Contribution for many thousands of dollars and along with Robert Ingram (Mayor Patti Ingram’s brother) repeatedly refuses to disclose who the funds came from. Mayor Ingram endorses Bedwell’s election. Mayor Ingram’s husband (John Spencer) is appointed by Bedwell to the county Planning Commission. Bedwell resigns as supervisor and they demand the governor appoint Spencer as supervisor. The governor does not do so, and now Spencer has to run in an election to replace Bedwell.

Come on Union, step up for the citizens and get us a disclosure about where that Mystery Contribution came from.
