Les Nelson (sponsored obituary)

Les Nelson, a longtime resident of Rough “N” Ready and former resident of Vallejo, CA, passed away recently after a long illness.

The 62 year old native of California grew up in Vallejo where his dad worked as a welder on Mare Island and his mom as a seamstress.

He attended Vallejo schools, married his high school sweetheart, and raised a family. He worked many years in the automotive field, before moving to Rough “N” Ready to enjoy the country life in a small town community. Les enjoyed rebuilding classic cars, auto racing, sand-railing, fishing, home renovations, and was the “go to man”. He also enjoyed being a country farmer and actually became a good cook, sharing at times “untried” impromptu recipes. He was loved and will be remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor, easy spirit, great memory, love for life, positive attitude, loyalty, and devotion.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Moller, his son, David Nelson, five grandchildren, one great

grandson, 3 brothers, and his lifelong friend, Patricia Nelson.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Blakely.

Interment services will be privately held
