Lenore Derrig

A memorial service was held Feb. 14 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Fairfax for Lenore Gregory Derrig, who passed away Feb. 8 at home following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Derrig was originally from Colorado but was raised in Nevada County and graduated from Nevada City High School in 1943. She subsequently moved to the Bay Area and had lived in Fairfax since 1960.

She will be remembered for her kindness, spirit and energy, which touched many people in a positive way. She remained close friends with several of her classmates, visiting often and attending class reunions.



Mrs. Derrig is survived by her husband of 61 years, James; son, Michael; daughter, Diane; brother, Leonard; and two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lorraine; and brother, Charles.
