Lenard Crafton

Private services for Lenard William Crafton of Nevada City have been completed.

Mr. Crafton died Friday, Sept. 10, in Grass Valley. He was 82.

He was born Oct. 8, 1921, in Clarksville, Texas, to George and Olive (White) Crafton. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He owned and operated the 49er Coin Laundry in Nevada City from 1985 to 2001.



He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Crafton of Nevada City; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Earl Elder of Killeen, Texas; and nephew, Richard Klamian of Nevada. He was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Bretherick.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
