Leaders fail to pass meaningful health care reform

I am so sadly disappointed in my representation both locally and at the state and federal levels of government regarding any meaningful legislation in support of health care with a public option. The meaningless legislation that is now on the table will do little to improve on an already embarrassing attempt to provide cost-effective health care for all of our citizens.

The reason we have this pitiful bill is directly linked to the fact that corporations buy and pay for legislation in this country and without meaningful campaign finance reform this pseudo-democracy will march on. The meaningful change promised will never surface and I am so disappointed in all of my elected officials. My faith in the human ability to triumph over tyranny is lost. It is a sad day, indeed, for our country, our legacy and the disenfranchised among us.
