Lawrence Edward Pierce

A celebration of life will be held on Dec. 2 for Lawrence Edward “Peg Leg” Pierce, 59, of the San Juan Ridge. The services will be held in Roseville at the home of Godson Jason Irby.

Mr. Pierce died at his residence on Nov. 8. Mr. Pierce was born in Rockford, Ill., on July 9, 1947.

Mr. Pierce attended local schools in Rockford and as a young man worked in his father’s trucking business. In 1965 he moved to Orange County and went to work in the auto parts business.



Mr. Pierce was an avid Harley Davidson motorcyclist and continued to ride even after losing both of his legs in two separate cycle accidents.

He lived in Boulder Creek before moving to North San Juan Ridge in 1989. He enjoyed motorcycles, his cats, reading and his many biking friends.




He is survived by his daughter in Illinois, Godson Jason Irby in Roseville, his companion Suzanne Ellison and many friends.
