Lassen supervisors back Horne for Assembly seat

Four of Lassen County’s supervisors have endorsed Nevada County Supervisor Sue Horne in her run for the 3rd Assembly District seat in the state legislature.

Horne, a Lake of the Pines resident who represents the county’s District 2, is running for the Republican spot on the ballot being vacated by Assemblyman Rick Keene, R-Chico.

Although California county supervisors are elected on a nonpartisan basis, the four supervisors from Lassen County who endorsed Horne have Republican ties. They are Brian Dahle, Lloyd Keefer, Jack Hanson and Bob Pyle.

Horne is the chairwoman the Regional Council of Rural Counties, in which Lassen County’s supervisors are active.
