Larry Mills

Memorial services for Larry Robert Mills, of Grass Valley, will be held at 2 p.m. on April 14 at Abundant Life Community Church, 10795 Alta Street in Grass Valley. Mr. Mills passed away on April 5 at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. He was 59.

Mr. Mills was born on July 20, 1947, to Hugh and Lois Mills in Nampa, Idaho. He has been a resident of the Nevada City/Grass Valley area since 1972.

Mr. Mills, a local artist, was involved with the Neighborhood Center of the Arts since its inception and prior to that, with the Nevada County Community Workshop. His extensive 30-year career as an artist includes exhibits of his work in Sacramento, Davis, Mendocino, Nevada City, Grass Valley and Brussels, Belgium.



Mr. Mills is survived by his brothers Daryl Mills of Yuba City and Richard Mills of Woodland; sister, Joyce Smethers of Grass Valley; stepmother, Ruth Mills of Grass Valley; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-nieces and a large extended family.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the Neighborhood Center of the Arts, 200 Litton Drive, Suite 212, Grass Valley.
