Lane, ramp closures to start next week
A re-striping road project planned for Highway 20 in Nevada County, originally planned to start this week, instead will likely begin on Monday.
The $1.3 million project will intermittently close highway lanes, along with on- and off-ramps, into mid-July. It’s part of a larger project that will re-stripe over 50,000 miles of California highways, Caltrans said in a release.
There is no set schedule for the closures in Nevada County, said Raquel Borrayo, public information officer with Caltrans.
“There will be lane closures, for sure,” Borrayo said. “If you’re traveling after 7 p.m. on a weeknight, you might have to wait in traffic control.”
Lane and ramp closures are set for 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights; 7 p.m. Fridays to 9 a.m. Saturdays; 5 p.m. Saturdays to 10 a.m. Sundays; and 5 p.m. Sundays to 6 a.m. Mondays.
