LaMar Barnett

Memorial services for LaMar Alan “Barney” Barnett of Riverside will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Walnut Valley Vineyard Church, 20742 Carrey Road in Walnut.

Mr. Barnett died Saturday, Jan. 15, at Spring Hill Convalescent Hospital in Grass Valley. He was 70.

He was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Escondido, to Lewis Albert Barnett and Lila Mae Dunham. He served as a seaman in the U.S. Coast Guard. He worked for the American Scale Company in Riverside. He was an avid movie aficionado and collector.



He is survived by his son, Stephen Alan Barnett of Penn Valley; and five granddaughters all of Penn Valley.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 12399 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley 95945.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
