Services for Kyle Alan Neilson of Nevada City will be at 11:30 a.m. today at the Nevada City United Methodist Church. Graveside services will follow at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Nevada City.

Mr. Neilson died Friday, Nov. 15, in Grass Valley. He was 31.

He was born Aug. 3, 1971, in Walnut Creek to Ed and Veda Neilson. He went to high school in San Jose and was the lead installer for All Phase Heating and Air Conditioning in Grass Valley for more than three years. He loved baseball, softball, family activities and was active in Little League Baseball.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Ed and Virginia Neilson Jr. of Nevada City; mother, Veda Neilson of San Jose; fiancee, Jessica McKercher of Grass Valley; son, Trevor Alan Neilson of Grass Valley; sister and brother-in-law, Tracey and Vic Hadley of Nevada City; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Karen Neilson III of San Jose; stepbrother, Robert Baillie of Pleasant Hill; stepsister and husband, Debbie and Mike Beal of Lafayette; nephews, Billy, Travis and Dylan Handley, all of Nevada City, and Ryan Baillie and Tyler Baillie, both of Pleasant Hill; and nieces, Taylor Neilson of San Jose, and Rachael and Shannon Beal, both of Lafayette.

He was predeceased by his step-brother, Kirk Baillie.
