When it comes down to a business going all the way for its customers and this community, the Tailgaters Sports Bar and Grill scores big.

Tailgaters definitely lights up the scoreboard when it comes to great food, service, and atmosphere.

It’s obvious the owners not only appreciate your business, but they also connect in a close and friendly level with you. This is what defines a close-knit community and one of the great reasons we live here.

To the owners and staff, I sincerely thank you for your hard work and genuine effort in bringing this community closer in such a fun and special way.

Child Advocates of Nevada County would like to thank the BriarPatch Community Market and their patrons for their substantial donation to our Foothills Healthy Babies program during this past holiday season.

Every dollar given helps us nurture and support moms and their babies right here in Nevada County. The BriarPatch staff worked diligently to inform their customers of our mission.

The investment made by our community is crucial to the success of our organization. We greatly appreciate your efforts and each person who gave so generously during this difficult economic time.

Once again I have had the opportunity to watch local kids take action for a worthy cause. The leadership class at Seven Hills School started a coin drive to help Haiti. In less than a week these kids collected over $900. One student generously contributed $160 of his own savings – his proud parent matched his donation. Demonstrating resourcefulness, social responsibility, and activism, these kids are great examples for all of us.

As each day pass it seems the economy is not getting any better. So I try to sit and count my blessings. I shop a lot at Grocery Outlet. I have shopped their every since I moved here 20 years ago (They have really good deals).

If it were not for Dave and his store, I believe many would have gone hungry. Grocery Outlet has fed many people, through the good times and now through the hard times. So, as I was shopping the other day I said to myself, Grocery Outlet is a blessing.

Thank you, Grocery Outlet, for being around and for all you do. It’s the small things that bring us joy.
