Kirk Wudzke Sr.

Memorial services for Kirk A. Wudzke Sr. of Lake Wildwood will be held at 2 p.m. today at Hooper and Weaver Mortuary, 459 Hollow Way, Nevada City.

Mr. Wudzke died Monday, Feb. 7, at home. He was 63.

He was born Aug. 16, 1941, in Des Plaines, Ill., to Walter and Evelyn (Nowicke) Wudzke.



He was a graduate of North High and El Camino Junior College, and he spent four years as an electrical union apprentice. He married Marge Cleveland on July 29, 1963, in Redondo Beach.

He worked for more than 25 years with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 11 in Los Angeles and worked five years with the Los Angeles Unified School District. He was a member of the LAUSD Golf Club and a retired member of IBEW Local 11.




He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and video games.

He is survived by his wife, Marge Wudzke; daughter, Kristen Mathews; son, Kirk Wudzke Jr.; grandchildren Michael, Kayla, Tyler, Isabelle, Julia and Everett; mother, Evelyn Wudzke; and sister, Suzanne Plumb.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Wudzke, in 1986.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetic Foundation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
