‘KinderKonzert’ for younger audience

Music in the Mountains orchestra members and a few local youth will perform Wednesday in a “KinderKonzert” designed specifically for the younger crowd.

Children are welcome to the free noon outdoors concert at the Nevada County Fairgrounds when accompanied by an adult. Works to be played include American composer Leroy Anderson’s “Bugler’s Holiday” and “Blue Tango,” John Philip Sousa’s marches, Antonin Dvorak’s Slavonic dances and selections from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Broadway musical “Oklahoma.”

Gates open at 11 a.m. Bring a blanket and picnic lunch. Ice cream and cold drinks will be available for sale.
