Kerry unfit to lead

Richard "Dick" Panzica

Back in 1971, the Vietnam war had become very unpopular. Many Americans thought it was a mistake for us to be fighting for the people of South Vietnam.

Mr. Kerry testified that our troops were committing terrible atrocities and that he was adamantly opposed to the war. This was his right. After all, he had served in Vietnam and was a recognized war “hero.”

At the same time Mr. Kerry was espousing his opinions, many of our troops were still being held captive. I was a personal escort for one upon his return in 1973. This young captain told me how his captors used the words of Mr. Kerry and Jane Fonda while they tortured him for over five years.

Today Mr. Kerry again claims he supports our troops but not the war. But our troops are still engaged in the war and all that his comments are accomplishing is the demoralization of our fighting men and women, while encouraging our enemies.

I know it’s hard for you Kerry fans, but John Kerry does not support our soldiers. It’s as true today as it was back in 1971.

Mr. Kerry is not fit to be commander-in-chief of this great nation.
