Kathy Turney

Kathy Turney died Feb. 7 in Fremont. She was 59.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Nevada City. Pastor Andy Owens will officiate. Burial will take place at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Turney was born April 23, 1948, in Palo Alto to Mervin and Lillian Kirchner. She attended Diablo Valley College and Questa College. She married Steven Lynch in 1971 in Lafayette.



Mrs. Turney was a homemaker and enjoyed writing, music, art and loved animals and poetry.

Mrs. Turney is survived by her mother, Lillian Kirchner of Auburn; son, Jerry Lynch of Auburn; sisters Connie Kirchner of Auburn and Nancy Kirchner of Portland and nieces Gina, Christi, Sadie and Megan Kirchner.




She was preceded in death by her father, Mervin Kirchner and her husband, Steven Lynch.

Memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 39899 Balentine Drive, Suite 161, Newark, Calif., 94560.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.
