Kathleen Adams

Services for Kathleen B. Adams of Cedar Ridge will be conducted in Monterey Peninsula at a later date.

Mrs. Adams died Wednesday, Jan. 14, at home. She was 91.

She was born Dec. 26, 1912, in Cudworth, Yorkshire, England. She was schooled in nursing at Whitby Ladies College in England and Guelph College in Ontario, Canada. She worked in the Outpatients Clinic of the U.S. Army Hospital at Fort Ord for 25 years, retiring in 1974. When she retired, she received the Army’s Certificate of Appreciation along with 32 outstanding performance awards she had received over the years. She had been a previous resident of Monterey Peninsula for 53 years prior to moving to Cedar Ridge. She was a lifelong volunteer with the SPCA and other animal welfare groups.



She is survived by her daughter, Margaret B. Adams of Cedar Ridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Russell Adams; and step-son, John Robert Adams.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pet Adoption League of Grass Valley.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
