June Hall

June Alice Hall died Oct. 25, 2007, at her home in Grass Valley. She was 88.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Oct. 3,1 at New Elm Ridge Cemetery in Grass Valley. Pastor Sam Floyd will officiate.

Mrs. Hall was born Nov. 30, 1918, in Palo Alto to Bob and Irene (Lawrence) Worthy. She married Bob Hall on Sept. 23, 1937, in Van Nuys.

She was a homemaker and assisted her husband in business. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing and ceramics.

Those who knew Mrs. Hall remember how she enjoyed her small dog, Goober, adopted from the Nevada County Animal Shelter on McCourtney Road. Mrs. Hall thought of Goober as a gift of unconditional love and affection from God.

Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband, Bob Hall of Grass Valley; daughters Peggy Gorton of Chico and Cindy Hall of Grass Valley; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Hall.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Encounter Ministries, Hospice of the Foothills and the Salvation Army.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary, Nevada City.
