Private services for Julie (Brennan) Mower of Shady Cove, Ore., will be conducted.

Ms. Mower died Monday, Sept. 16, after a short battle with esophageal and liver cancer. She was 43.



She was born Oct. 10, 1958, in Healdsburg. She lived in Grass Valley for many years and graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1976. She was married to James Mower for 22 years. She lived in Yreka before moving to Shady Cove in 2001. She enjoyed gardening and working at the YMCA.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Mower of Ashland, Ore.; parents Susan Brennan (Griffen), Louie Hanft and Daniel Brennan; and sister, Kathy Poothamby of Allyn, Wash.




Memorial contributions may be made to the Yreka Family YMCA c/o Endowed Scholarship, 350 Foothill Drive, Yreka 96097; or to a hospice center of the donor’s choice.
