Juanita Finks

A visitation for family and friends was held Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City for Juanita Ruth Finks. Graveside services will be held today, Oct. 18, at Maxwell Cemetery in Maxwell. Pastor Malcolm White will officiate. Mrs. Finks, of Maxwell, passed away Oct. 11 in Grass Valley. She was 88.

Mrs. Finks was born Jan. 4, 1919, to Wilford and Naoma (Busby) Thompson near Boise, Idaho. She attended Maxwell High School.

In September of 1935, she married Robert “Bob” James Finks and became a homemaker.

Mrs. Finks is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Fulton of Grass Valley; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jim Moore of Grass Valley; sons and daughters-in-law Charles “Butch” Finks and Patty of Maxwell and Jim Finks and Helen of Litchfield; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; two sisters; and husband.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 2399 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley, CA 95945.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
