Rising Starz Junior Quake All-Starz Competition Cheerleading Squad is on a “Quest for Nationals” at the Anaheim Convention Center, April 12-14.

This is the group’s first year competing, and the troupe of girls ages 8 to 12 qualified for nationals in their first attempt.

A fund-raiser to help send the group to the competition will be at 5 p.m. March 10 at Rising Starz Gym, 900 Golden Gate Terrace, Grass Valley.

The squad will put on a short performance followed by a contest with prizes from local merchants. Food will also be available. A $1 donation is requested.
