Joyce Broberg

Memorial services for Joyce Broberg of Nevada City will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church. Private interment will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Chicago Park.

Mrs. Broberg died Tuesday, Feb. 8, in Nevada City. She was 83.

She was born June 19, 1921, in Minnesota, to Edward and Hatti Haas. She married Bernard Broberg on June 30, 1946, in Wyoming, Minn. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lutheran Woman’s Missionary League and Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening, walking and roses.



She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Cheryl and Bob Lansing of Fresno, and Lynn and Bill Maas of Nevada City; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Priscilla Broberg of Felton; sister, Dot Peterson of Lomita; brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Shirley Haas of Hemet; sister-in-law, Joanie Haas of Torrance; grandchildren, Wendi, Kate, and Stewart; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Broberg in 2002; and brother, Shel Haas.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 12399 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley 95945.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
