Joseph Zeld

Joseph Zeld, 83, of Grass Valley died Sunday, March 13, at home.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services.

Mr. Zeld was born Dec. 8, 1921, in Coal Run, Pa., to Joseph and Elizabeth (Baak) Zeld. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a second lieutenant during World War II. He owned a tool company in Michigan. He married Alyce M. Faull on Aug. 16, 1942, in Napolean, Ohio. He had been a resident of Grass Valley for 30 years.



He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alyce M. Zeld of Grass Valley; daughter, Bonnie Short of Portland, Ore.; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Annie Marie Zeld of Chicago, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
