Joseph Milhous

Joseph Scott Milhous died Aug. 24 after a long battle with cancer. He was 34.

A memorial service and potluck will be at 1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. l2, at Nevada County Horsemen’s in Grass Valley.

He was born Oct. 22, 1975, in Grass Valley. He was the youngest of four children. As a young boy, he was a fierce competitor in junior rodeos, winning many awards and buckles in Colusa, Glenn and Sutter counties. He rode bulls in high school and played football and basketball.



After high school, Mr. Milhous worked in construction and later went on to become a roofer.

He loved to snowboard and enjoyed camping.




Mr. Milhous is survived by his son, Aiden Revetta; mother, Dorothy Smith; father and stepmother, Monty and Sylvia Milhous; brother, Jerry Hughes; sisters, Lisa Stevens and Monica Ryan; and stepbrothers, Corky Green, Bobby Green and Billy Green.
