Joseph Fox Jr.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., June 7 at New Auburn Cemetery for Joseph “Joe” Albert Fox Jr. Mr. Fox passed away May 23 in Auburn. He was 74.

Mr. Fox was born Sept. 30, 1932, in Chicago, Ill. He served four proud years in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He then went on to be a roofing contractor for 50 years in the Placer, Nevada and El Dorado county areas.

Mr. Fox was an honest man who loved his family and his country. He always had a positive attitude and a smile on his face. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, shooting rifles and his food.



Mr. Fox survived prostate cancer in 2005 but was diagnosed with melanoma in May 2006, which took his life.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dianne Fox; children Debbie Marshall, Linda Whilhelm, Kim Chavez, Krista Ryan and Rick Fox; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.




Mr. Fox will be greatly missed by all.
