Memorial services for Joëlle Jeanine Nicole Goodwin of Nevada City will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pioneer Park in the picnic area. Interment was conducted Monday, May 17, at the New Elm Ridge Cemetery in Grass Valley.

Mrs. Goodwin died Thursday, May 13, at home. She was 45.

She was born May 25, 1958, in Liege, Belgium, to Serge and Marthe Hankart. She was a graduate of Nevada Union High School. She married Michael Goodwin on Sept. 20, 1980, in Pioneer Park in Nevada City. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baha’i Faith, the Recycle Center Board and a charter school administrator. She enjoyed music.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Goodwin, of Nevada City; daughters Aaryn, Lindsay, Natalie and Amanda all of Nevada City; mother Marthe Hankart of Sacramento; father Serge Hankart of Sacramento; and sister Myriam Munson of Sacramento.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
