John Regan

Memorial services for John “Mark” Regan of Smartville will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church, 8080 8th St. in Marysville.

Mr. Regan died Wednesday, Feb. 22. He was 54.

He was born March 12, 1951, in Texas, to John and Barbara Regan. He was a private investigator. He previously owned a scuba diving business and was a dive instructor. He was a retired Sutter County Sheriff’s deputy and taught administration of justice classes at Yuba College. He was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross. He enjoyed boating, music and working in his yard. He also enjoyed animals and was involved in training dogs for obedience and personal protection.



He is survived by his wife, Laurel Foster Regan; son, Matthew Regan; father, John Regan; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Regan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, 1 Shields Ave., Davis 95616.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
