John Howard

John Antrim Howard died Sept. 25 at home in Auburn, Calif. He was 79.

There will be no service.

Mr. Howard was born Feb. 11, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to John Antrim Howard and Jean Beattie Howard. He graduated from Brooklyn Friends Academy, Colgate University, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a captain from 1952 to 1956.



He married Maryann Roush on April 26, 1957, in Westbury, Long Island, N.Y. He worked for IBM, Xerox and was a member of SIRS and Jolly Hookers Fishing. He enjoyed golf, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Maryann Howard of Auburn, Calif.; twin brother, James B. Howard of Savannah, Ga.; sons, Thomas L. (Sally) Howard of Ben Lomond, Calif., Evan J. Howard of Sparks, Nev.; and granddaughters, Lillian, Myla and Ruby Howard.




He was preceded in death by his parents Jon and Jean Howard.

Arrangements are by Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
