Johanna Heller

Johanna M. Heller died July 17 at her home in Grass Valley. She was 80.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.

Mrs. Heller was born July 31, 1927, in Wiesbaden, Germany, to Christian Goebel and Toni Schlosser. She attended high school and business school. She was married on Dec. 15, 1960, in Tripoli, Libya. She worked in retail from 1945 to 1962.



Mrs. Heller was a member of the American Contract Bridge League, American Bridge Teachers Association, and Golden Empire Grange. She enjoyed bridge, golf, travel, teaching and homemaking.

Mrs. Heller is survived by her son, Edwin L. Heller Jr. of Sewell, N.J.; daughter, Linda H. Cohn of Medford, N.J.; brothers Georg Goebel of Wiesbaden, Germany, and Hans Goebel of Niedernhausen, Germany; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.




She was preceded in death by her father, mother and husband.

Donations may be made to the local hospice or Neptune Society Cancer Research.
