Joe Weidman

Memorial services for Joe Weidman of North San Juan will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Grass Valley. Private interment will take place at the North San Juan Cemetery.

Mr. Weidman died Saturday, Feb. 5, in Grass Valley. He was 83.

He was born Aug. 5, 1921, in Casper, Wyo., to Merton L. St. Clair and Gladys Ann Smith. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Virginia on May 6, 1956, in Virginia City, Nev. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.



He is survived by his sons James Weidman of Auburn, Mike Keyser of Camino, Steve Keyser of Grass Valley, John Sedwick of Oroville, and John Weidman of North San Juan; daughters, Jeannie Jervan of Susanville, Sharon Hunter of Citrus Heights, and Shirley Ramey of Crescent City; and numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Virginia, in 2004.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
