Jewell Dohrman died June 4 in Grass Valley. She was 89.

Private services will be held.

Mrs. Dohrman was born Oct. 17, 1918, in Milwaukee, Wis., to William Palin and Josephine Kawalsky. She received a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of California, Los Angeles. She married Lloyd Dohrman.

Mrs. Dohrman worked as a teacher. She enjoyed golf, gardening, bunco and bocci.

Mrs. Dohrman is survived by her husband, Lloyd Dohrman of Penn Valley; sister and brother-in-law, Bette and George Cambell of Penn Valley; stepsons Christopher Dohrman of Friday Harbor, Wash., and Jeffrey Dohrman of Woodburn, Ore.; daughter, Lani DeVincentes of Penn Valley; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Palin and Josephine Kawalsky.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.
