Jess Iddings

Jess Benton Iddings, 94, of Grass Valley, died Saturday, Jan. 22, at Spring Hill Manor Convalescent Hospital in Grass Valley.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be at Fresno Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Iddings was born June 3, 1910, in Mapleton, Iowa, to Harry Iddings and Anna Koontz. He worked as a baker and for PG&E as a cable splicer in San Francisco. He was a member of the Elks and the Masons. He married Dorothy Alcantar in 1950 and Shirley Church in 1979.



He is survived by his son, Vine Alcantar; daughter, Gloria Alcantar Perriera; daughter-in-law, Darlene Alcantar; granddaughter, Sandra Alcantar Molleck; grandsons Steve, Scott and Dean Perriera; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 12399 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley 95945.
