Jerry Hooley

A celebration of life for Jerry Hooley will be held March 4 at the home of Steve and Cindy Giardina. Mr. Hooley died Jan. 29 at home in Grass Valley with family. He was 60.

He was born April 26, 1945 in Loma Linda to Arthur and Cleo Renshaw Hooley. He married Kitty Presser on Aug. 3, 1975, at Sand Harbor, Incline Village, Nev. For 34 years, he worked with Montgomery Ward and then the last five years with Best Buy. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, woodworking and computers.

He is survived by his wife, Kitty; daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Jeremy Starnes; son, Christopher Hooley; brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Dorothy Hooley; father/mother-in-law, Dale and Mary Presser; sister-in-law, Coleen Gomez; brothers-in-law, Aldo Gomez and Buz Presser; nephews, Dale Presser and Paul Hooley; nieces, Teresa Christensen, Nichol Gomez, Karen Riese and Leslie Rogers; and numerous loved ones. He was preceded in death by his father, Art Hooley ; mother, Cleo Chicklis; and sister, Charlotte Moore.
