Jeffrey Adams Sr.

Jeffrey C. Adams Sr. died unexpectedly Oct. 22, 2007, at his home in Grass Valley. He was 55.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. Sat., Nov. 3, at Church of Christ in Grass Valley.

Mr. Adams was born Dec. 29, 1951, in Napa to Charles and Dolores Adams. He received his associate of arts degree in history, a subject he loved.

He recently retired from a 37-year career with Lucky-Albertsons, where customers knew him for his friendly, cheerful greeting. He was a sales associate at CarMax, where he worked for the past year.

Mr. Adams volunteered in his children’s classrooms and attended all their sporting events. He was a lifetime member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Association and a founding member of the Sacramento Anglers Society. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, movies (especially Westerns) and golf.

Those who knew him remember his outgoing personality and devotion to his family.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Tami Adams of Grass Valley; children Brittany Joanne Adams and Jeffrey Charles Adams Jr.; brother, Capt. Gregory F. Adams, USCG (Ret.) and wife Susan; brother, Timothy W. Adams and wife Audrey; sister-in-law, Ginny Frizzell and husband Ron; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and JoAnn Hilderbrand; and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Adams’ name may be made to the American Heart Association.
