Marjorie “Jean” Godschalk died June 23 at Meadow View Manor. She was 87.

No services will be held. Burial will take place at Valhalla Memorial Park in North Hollywood.

Mrs. Godschalk was born Feb. 2, 1921, in Hollywood to James and Veda Bruce. She attended Hollywood High School and Pasadena City College. She worked as the executive secretary for “Queen for a Day” TV Show and also worked for Del Webb Corporation and Ramada Inn Corporation office.

She was a member of the Rough and Ready Fire Department Auxiliary and the Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and reading.

Mrs. Godschalk is survived by her son, Steven Morrow of Grass Valley; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Dayna Morrow of Redding; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and wonderful friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rough and Ready Fire Department.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.
