James Ohlong sponsored obituary

Born in Walnut Creek, Calif. on Feb. 1, 1980, Jimmy Ohling entered heaven on Feb. 7, 2008, at the age of 28.

He was a loving son to mother Tammie Shafer and father James C. Ohling, brother to Jennifer Kipperman and uncle to William Kipperman. He was a wonderful grandson to Mike and Lori Borden and Carl and Pat Beachman. He was also a great person to the rest of his extended family.

A loving boyfriend to Amber Emory, he was also a friend to all he touched in the travels of his life.

Jimmy was a member of ECV Chapter 86. Jimmy’s passion was cooking. He was known to many as “The Cook.”

Now he has joined all of his family and friends that preceded him to enlighten their lives.

Private services will be held at Georgetown Pioneer Cemetery Annex. Please join us in a celebration of Jimmy’s life at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the VFW hall located at 97 Wentworth Springs Rd. in Georgetown, next to the fire station.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made toward the building of a disc golf course, which Jimmy loved. Send to G.D.R.D., Jimmy’s Disc Golf, P.O. Box 1418, Georgetown, CA, 95634 or call 530-333-4000.
