Jack Kadera

Jack A. Kadera, 86, of Grass Valley died Friday, Feb. 18, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.

No services were held. His body was donated to U.C. Davis Medical School.

Mr. Kadera was born March 10, 1918, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Louis Kadera and Ada Elizabeth Allen. He served in the U.S. Army in the Signal Corps from 1944 to 1946. He graduated from Pasadena City College, and married Mary Ann on Oct. 25, 1941, in Pasadena. He worked in surgical supplies in Pasadena, and was a purchasing manager for Fleetwood Enterprises in Riverside. He enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing and computers.



He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Kadera of Grass Valley; sons Kent A. Kadera of Grass Valley, and Michael L. Kadera of Guatemala, Central America; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Nevada City or the Fullerton First Baptist Church.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
