Irresistible rhythms from Sabroso

Sabroso, shown here, will play Afro-Cuban jazz and salsa and Salsa Sierra will teach the dance at the North Columbia Schoolhouse Cultural Center on the San Juan Ridge Saturday, May 19.

Dancing lessons begin at 7:30 p.m.; the music starts at 8 p.m. Sabroso has new material it has been working on, a musical blend “in clave,” which is a five-note, bi-measure pattern that is so rhythmic people can’t stay still.

Admission is $15 for nonmembers and $13 for NCSCC members. Call (530) 265-2826 or go to ncscc@nccn.net for more information or go online at http://www.sabrosomusic.com and http://www.salsasierra.com.
