Indulge yourself in 12 hours of contra dancing

Can you dance for 12 hours straight, even sporadically? Many will do just that on Saturday, Nov. 3, as the Foothill Country Dancers hosts its 10th annual Fall Has Sprung 12 hour Contra Dance.

The music and dancing will begin at noon and conclude at midnight.

The event at the Grass Valley Veterans building – 255 S. Auburn St., Grass Valley – includes three bands, three (women) callers and food (a potluck snack, a food table and non-alcoholic beverages).

Headlining this year’s dance will be Notorious (Deluxe Version) – offering traditional and contemporary acoustic music from around the world. The dance attracts more than 200 people from all over California, as well as a scattering of folks from Oregon, Utah and Nevada.

Tickets are $25 at the door. Call Eric or Lisa at (530) 273-3934 or e-mail foothilldancers@aol.com for more information.
