Idaho-Maryland Mine hosting workshop tomorrow

The Idaho-Maryland Mining Corporation (IMMC) will be hosting a pair of meetings Tuesday to discuss residents’ interests and concerns regarding the corporation’s proposal to re-open the Idaho-Maryland Mine.

Residents have expressed concerns that re-opening the former gold mine, located on a 101-acre site between Idaho-Maryland Road and East Bennett Road, could contaminate nearby water sources.

Workshops will be held at the L.O.V.E. Building at Condon Park in Grass Valley, one from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the other from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. IMMC has planned them as a combination of presentations, “break-out sessions” and the development of a workshop summary for the community.
