Hwy. 20 closed as firefighters battle fire

Highway 20 was closed around 5 p.m. Friday due to a fast-spreading fire that threatened to jump the road. The blaze occurred near the Smartsville exit at the border of Yuba County. After approximately 30 minutes, Smartsville firefighters resumed moving traffic in one lane.
