Hundreds helped for the holiday: Food Bank of Nevada County holds one of its largest drive-thru distributions to date

Food Bank of Nevada County volunteers work on packing the trunk of a vehicle with food for the holidays during Thursday’s food distribution at Grass Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church off Osborne Hill Road. Hundreds of families are helped weekly by the food bank’s drive-thru distribution, which was held longer Thursday to help accommodate as many people as possible. Thursday’s distribution was the last of the year, though those in need of food can still contact the food bank’s office for a personal appointment.
