Hugh Peake

Services for Hugh Hale Peake of Lake Wildwood will be conducted at a later date in Kansas City, Mo.

Mr. Peake died Friday, Nov. 8, in Grass Valley. He was 76.



He was born July 16, 1926, in Kansas City to Charles Peake and Thelma Hale. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. He married Nancy on May 8, 1954, in Kansas City.

He worked for Pacific Bell as a supervisor for 35 years. He was a third-degree Mason. He enjoyed golf and was an avid pinochle player.




He is survived by his wife, Nancy Peake of Lake Wildwood; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Adair and Bill Collins of Divide, Colo.; brother, Charles Peake of Penn Valley; sister, Jane Wilson of Hillsborough; granddaughters Brianna and Ashley Collins of Divide; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Claudia Peake.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Penn Valley Fire Department.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
