Howard Langdon

Services for Howard Kenneth “Ken” Langdon, a native of Grass Valley, are at 6 p.m. Friday at Fry Memorial Chapel in Tracy. Visitation is there from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Langdon died Tuesday, July 23, in Lathrop. He was 74.

He was born Feb. 26, 1928, in Butte, Mont., and was raised in Grass Valley. He graduated from Grass Valley High School.



He was a longtime resident of Fremont. He moved to Lathrop two years ago to be closer to relatives. He retired as a bus driver for A.C. Transit in the Bay Area.

He enjoyed the Sierra Nevada, trout fishing, sports and spending time with his family.




Mr. Langdon is survived by his wife of 29 years, Dona Langdon of Lathrop; sons and daughters-in-law Dave and Sue Langdon of Tracy and Tom and Fawn Langdon of Bremerton, Wash.; sons Dan Langdon of Petaluma and Jim Kruse of Tennessee; daughter, Janice Stump of Oklahoma; brother, Bill Langdon of Concord; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fry Memorial Chapel.
