Horse massage may help prevent injuries

Horse owners interested in protecting their animals from injury can learn how massage can help in class this weekend.

Gabrielle Pullen, a local equine sports massage therapist, will offer a class to teach owners how to work on their horses from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Eventful Acres in Oregon House.

The class costs $75 plus a $15 ground fee if one brings her own horse.

Participants will learn a full sports massage sequence and basic muscle physiology. They also will receive written materials and an audio CD to use in practice on their own.

To register for the class, call 263-3323 or visit http://www.commonsensehorse.com.
